    Here is the registration information for a 501c3 called "The Florida Science Foundation" this is where Jeffery Epstein "served" his work release during his prison sentence. The corporation was created shortly before he was sentence and dissolved when his time was "served."

    Each day he went to the Palm Beach office to "work." Oh, but there were deputies from the sheriff's office who supervised him. But don't worry he paid for this.

      As an experiment it would be interesting to find someone who is serving time in prison ... ideally for a much less odious crime. Let's say petty theft. And see if, even using unlimited money one could arrange for their stay to be as ... not like prison at all.

      Can anyone with enough cash buy their way out like this?

        @futurebird

        If you have sufficient cash, you’re not going to be incarcerated in the first place… no matter what the crime. This is America, where cash reigns supreme over everything else.

          @chessert

          I have some sense that's true in the abstract, but looking at the name registration for the "Florida Science Foundation" made it suddenly seem very real. What "Florida Science" did the foundation promote? Why did it exist? I am disgusted anew.

            I'm all for work release, but it has to be for all prisoners (security reasons aside for the really dangerous ones, of course).

              Agree. Though I have many questions about most of the prison system and how effective it is at keeping people safe or deterring crime.

              Then you have stuff like this that just makes it all seem pointless.

                I think it's sobering to look at it. A whole fake corporation set up so that a guy didn't have to be in prison for one of the few reasons why people probably ought to be in prison. The bland name. The obvious dates. I crossed checked this and it's the real deal.

                But I encourage anyone to do the same. It's just all out in the open.
