subnautica 1 was one of the best games i ever played. below zero was like a less good, James Cameron version of subnautica 1 that sorta forgot it was a survival craft game and focused more on the cinematic experience. subnautica 2....looks full blown James Cameron movie. it literally looks like the scenes underwater in Avatar 2. subnautica 1 was not great because it had aliens or a neat sci fi plot. those were neat extras. it was cool because the nature of the game itself required you to carve your OWN story through the way you chose to survive and progress. the world was your world, not a set piece for a stage play. subnautica 2, from what I've seen so far, looks to have completely lost what i first loved about the game. i know the original creator of the concept has long been gone from the development team, and it frankly bums me out how they've altered the original vision. I'm sure it'll be hugely successful, though. looks like something made for YouTubers more than someone who wants to pick up rocks for 3 hours off the sea floor.

That's a grey area, that you would probably win if this hypothetical were litigated. Their parameters are broad and vague, so I could easily see a claim that it is unfairly giving you a better game play than others. Nothing about their parameters mentions multiplayer, so one would assume it apply's to all play styles. I'm the extremely unlikely scenario this came to some kind of litigation the determining factor would probably be the question of whether there is anyway for players to compare single player gameplay at all in a reasonable way? If they have a leader board for single player or anything like that, including even a social media a tracking single player stats then I think it's possible it is determined to be giving an unfair advantage.

They'll just evaluate your performance in the game and allow you to play a much more realistic version in Ukraine.

What the actual fuck?

I enjoyed it, too, about 200 hours worth with my wife on it. It had multiple crashes, BattlEye was forced with it, and the whole model was set up to make people rent servers from their affiliated server company for like 20$/mo. There were plenty of servers paid for by people to choose from beyond the official ones, but again it's the same business model. Heard good things about Helldivers but I've been too busy to buy more games lately.
